This is a presentation of work created during my residency at ACEA in Marnay-sur-Seine. The paintings are based on images taken during long walks listening to music. This activity creates a cinematic experience of an area. I wanted to emphasise this perspective through photographic documentation which I later translated into paintings. I chose the title after Carole King's song, 'So Far Away', referencing how memory and landscape are intertwined.
